According to a Huffington Post article,
factory farms raise 99.9 percent of chickens for meat, 97 percent of laying hens, 99 percent of turkeys, 95 percent of pigs, and 78 percent of cattle currently sold in the United States.
As you can see from these numbers, a majority of the meat you are eating most likely came from an animal who was raised on a factory farm. Even if you are a vegetarian or vegan, these factory farms effect the food you are eating as well. Factory farming is not only affecting the food you are eating, but the entire meat market, and your health as well. Through this website, I hope to show you why we should stop factory farming, or modify the way we get our meats. I will define important terms that will help explain my argument. I will also explain four of the main reasons why we should stop factory farming, and opposing viewpoints. I will then suggest solutions, additional readings, and show you supporters of the cause.
